After failing exam, man roams around wearing fake Army uniform in Gujarat

In a recent incident in Porbandar, a young man posing as an army officer was detained by the police after locals raised suspicions. The man was seen walking around Porbandar Chowpatty dressed in a uniform resembling that of the Indian Army.
He did not interact with anyone, which caught the attention of local police officers.
The police, who were passing through the area, decided to investigate further. Upon questioning the young man, he initially claimed to be a member of the Indian Army but could not produce his ID card when asked.
He then stated that he had forgotten it at home. His evasive answers raised further doubts, leading to his detention and questioning at the police station.
During the investigation, the man, identified as Sanjay Dodiya, a 10th-grade pass, confessed that although he had appeared for the army exam, he did not succeed.
Driven by a strong desire to join the army, he began wearing a fake uniform, complete with a nameplate, and roamed around pretending to be an army officer. The police confirmed that he had not attempted to deceive anyone or use his fake identity for malicious purposes.
Dodiya was arrested on charges of impersonating a public officer. However, as no fraudulent activities were reported, he was released on bail.
